The Create Properties task is for creating properties for use in downstream tasks. All workflow properties should have these parameters set:
- Type – The type specification is required to configure the workflow property to accept values of the specified type. It can be one of the following:
- Text
- Number
- URL
- Property Name – A name to identify the property. This is how the created value will be referred to in later workflow steps. They can be of type text, email or number. Enter a property name or select a previously set property name that can be modified from the dropdown.
- Property Value – This can be text that also contains properties that were defined earlier in the workflow. You can modify the previously set values. Acceptable properties will be available in the dropdown.
The Create Properties window displays newly created and existing properties as rows. Property rows are processed in sequential order from top to bottom. The first row is processed, then the second one begins after the first is finished. This continues for the remaining rows defined in this task.Â
Properties can be used in multiple steps in a Create Properties task in the workflow builder to perform more complex calculations, with each line in the task being executed sequentially.
